I got it into my head at the age of thirteen that I wanted to write books. After earning a degree and spending many years writing snippets of what was to become The Omulus, I finally hired an editor and began to really, really write the story.

 

But not before spending many years as a bartender, production assistant, journalist, kickboxing instructor, and other jobs that were adventures in themselves. 

 

I believe in cutting one’s own path. I spent a long, long time getting to know this story as I got to know myself. The Omulus is as much a part of me as any one of my limbs.
